Program Overview – 14 Days / 13 Nights
Week 1 – Learning & Action
Day 1: Arrival + orientation at Casa ANAWA
Day 2–3: Theoretical modules: rural vet medicine, protocols, surgical prep
Day 4–5: Surgical assistance in spay/neuter campaigns
Day 6–8:Animal Welfare Route – 3 days of outreach in remote communities
We will bring veterinary care to the communities that need it most: Palomino, Manaure, Maicao, and Uribia.
Week 2 – Adventure with Purpose
Day 9–12: Expedition to the Alta Guajira
Visit Cabo de la Vela, Punta Gallinas, and hike through Macuira National Park while learning about ancestral cultures and animal care in remote areas.
Day 13: Closing reflections + beach day in Mayapo
Day 14: Departure
